When regrading is not enough, we rebuild it.
Some driveways are past a regrade: the old asphalt is broken up, the gravel has sunk into the mud, or the base was never right. Rehabilitation rebuilds the driveway from the ground up. We cut and grade the old surface, lay landscape fabric where the soil is soft, add new base, and finish with asphalt millings rolled tight.
The fabric keeps the stone from sinking into the clay, and the millings give you a firm, dark surface. It is the job customers describe as getting a brand new driveway for far less than paving.

Do you have to tear out my old asphalt?
Not always. Broken asphalt can often be ground up and used as part of the new base. We look at it and tell you what makes sense.
What does the landscape fabric do?
It separates the new stone from soft soil underneath, so the base does not sink into the mud and the driveway keeps its shape.
